John 01:39 Jesus said, “Come and you will see.”

When the apostles asked where Jesus was staying He answered, “Come and you will see.” Perhaps if we also follow we will see where Jesus is staying. Perhaps we will find that He is staying in our hearts.

John 01:38 Jesus said, “What do you seek?”

These are the first words that Jesus said to any of the twelve apostles. What would you say if Jesus asked you, “What do you seek?”

The Rooster Crowed - Matthew 26:69-75

Matthew 26:74 …And immediately the rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the word Jesus had said, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.

This passage contains the rooster that will forever be connected with Peter during his moment of trial. However there is a deeper poetic connection between Peter and the Rooster. The first three letters of the Hebrew word “Rooster” {(תרנגול) Tarnagol} form the word “Quitter” {(תרנ) Tarn} and the last three letters (גול) are a pun for “Galilean” {(הגלילי) Hagalele}. Thus in Hebrew, “Rooster” is a pun for “Quitter Galilean.”
