Matthew 03:04 - Were John the Baptist and the Prophet Elijah the same? They definitely dressed the same!

Now John wore a garment of camel’s hair, and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. Matthew 3:4

They answered him, "He wore a garment of haircloth, with a girdle of leather about his loins." And he said, "It is Elijah the Tishbite." 2Kings 1:8

2Corinthians 11:24 - The closer you look at the apostle Paul the more you can see the patriarch Benjamin through the veil

Five times I [Paul] received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one - 2Corinthians 11:24

To each and all of them he gave festal garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five festal garments - Genesis 45:22

Similar to Benjamin, Paul received five different “garments” when his flesh was lashed on five different occasions.

Acts 08:01 - The closer you look at the apostle Paul the more you can see the patriarch Benjamin through the veil

And Saul was consenting to his death (Acts 8:1)

All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do (Galatians 2:10)

When Paul was young [in the morning] he participated in the persecution of Christians (Acts 7:58-8:1). Later in life [at even] Paul participated in distributing charity to the poor (Galatians 2:10).

Paul fulfilled the prophecy:

“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf, in the morning devouring the prey, and at even dividing the spoil" (Genesis 49:27 RSV)

Why does the prophecy indicate that he is a “ravenous wolf?” The Romans were known as wolves since their founder was purportedly raised by a she wolf. So the prophecy is about a Roman and Paul was a Roman citizen:

“They have beaten us publicly, without trial, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison. And do they now cast us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.” The police reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens (Acts 16:37-38)

1Corinthians 15:08 - The closer you look at the apostle Paul the more you can see the patriarch Benjamin through the veil

“And last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared to me also.” - 1Corinthians 15:8

In 1Corinthians 15:8, the apostle Paul is referring to the appearance of Jesus when Paul was traveling on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3). Paul refers to the appearance of Jesus to Paul “as to one untimely born.” The birth of the Patriarch Benjamin was also “untimely” since it happened while his family was traveling on the road and resulted in the death of his mother. Both of these “untimely births” happened while traveling on the road between Israel and Syria.

Can you find any other messianic prophecies about Paul veiled in the Genesis account of Benjamin?

Did you know that the word “seizures” in Matthew 4:24 is a modern approximation for “moonstruck?”

Matthew 4:24 Then his fame spread throughout all Syria. And they brought to him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, [and] those who were demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed. And he healed them.
