received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one - 2Corinthians 11:24
To each and all of
them he gave festal garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver
and five festal garments - Genesis 45:22
Similar to
Benjamin, Paul received five different “garments” when his flesh was lashed on
five different occasions.
