Acts 02:38 and 04:12 - Why is it impossible to be saved without Jesus?

In Hebrew, the name “Jesus” (ישוע) means “save” (יושיע). So it would be impossible to be “saved” (יושיע) without using the name of “Jesus” (ישוע).

Matthew 01:21 “And she will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

Acts 02:38 “Repent!” Peter [said] to them, “and be baptized every one of you on the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 04:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Luke 23:39-43 Are you a sinner?

GOOD NEWS! So was the criminal that Jesus invited to Paradise.

Luke 23:39 One of the criminals who were hanged there hurled insults at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him, said, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Mark 04:39 Then he rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

When you are surrounded by storms Jesus’ words still bring peace.
