The Hebrew word for “Blessed” also means “Welcome.” In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus literally tells you who is “Welcome” in the Kingdom of Heaven:
“Welcome are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” – Matthew 5:3
