11:5 “And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the
children of men built.”
Genesis
11:5 foreshadows the Word becoming incarnate among the people of Israel and
walking through Jerusalem and looking at the buildings and the temple. Matthew
24:1-2 – “1 Jesus left the temple, and was going away when his disciples
came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered them,
“You see all these things, do you not? Truly, I say to you, not one stone here
can be left upon another, that will not be thrown down.””
