In the foreshadowing of the virgin birth, Mary
is foreshadowed by Rebekah. Both Mary and Rebekah went with haste and told
their relatives what had happened.
Luke 1:36 And
behold, your [Mary’s] relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a
son…
Luke 1:39 In those
days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah,
40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.
Genesis 24:28 Then
the maiden ran and told her mother's household about these things.
