In the foreshadowing of the virgin birth, Mary
is foreshadowed by Rebekah. Both Mary and Rebekah consented to being selected
by God. The combination of similarities mentioned so far in this foreshadowing
study are unique to only Mary and Rebekah in the Bible.
Luke 1:38 Then Mary
said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your
word…”
Genesis 24: 57 They said, "We will call the maiden,
and ask her." 58 And they called Rebekah, and said to her, "Will you
go with this man?" She said, "I will go."
